Count on others

Goals

When a child has a problem or is not feeling well, it is important for them to be able to rely on someone. Sometimes they don't really know where to go to with bad feelings. This exercise can help them remember who they know en who means something to them.

Structure

First, place the children at the tables. When they finished their drawing, place them in a circle on the floor.

Explanation

Each child makes a drawing of their friends and family network. Try to make them draw everyone who is important to them. When every child has finished the drawing, you can place them in a circle with their own drawing in their hands. One by one, they have to explain who is on the drawing and what each person means to them. They can tell who makes them laugh, with who they have fun moments with, who cheers them up... .
